This course focuses on barre exercises and other fitness-based movements that engage the core and work all major muscle groups, leading to improved muscular strength and endurance. This course will also utilize class instruction, assignments, and student participation to enable students to: (1) Acquire knowledge of proper alignment and technique to enhance overall fitness level (2) Develop health and skill related components of physical fitness and (3) Gain knowledge to make intelligent choices that contribute to a healthy, active lifestyle.
