Students will engage in a variety of campus walks, using their senses to practice present-moment awareness and gratitude. Labyrinth walking, breath-to-step walking, and other breathwork practices will be introduced for stress reduction. Students will "talk" by sharing experiences that create a sense of community and belonging. Instruction includes physical health assessments, lower body conditioning, gait analysis, posture correction, stretching, and foam rolling techniques as a cool-down. Through class instruction, assignments, and participation will have an understanding of skills and concepts as they relate to overall health, fitness, and well-being, which facilitates a healthy, active, lifestyle.
