Students will review and strengthen stroke techniques with an emphasis on control, depth, and direction. This course will also incorporate rules, etiquette, and basic strategy and tactics. This course will utilize class discussions, class assignments, and student participation to enable students to: (1) Understand basic components of health-related physical fitness, cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility (2) Develop physical fitness and motor skills, and (3) Gain knowledge to make intelligent choices that contribute to a healthy, active lifestyle. Prerequisites: PHYSWELL PHYSWELL 26, or knowledge of rules and scoring, and average ability in fundamental strokes, but limited playing experience.
