The issue of illegal immigration is sometimes regarded as a Latinx issue. This simplifies and racializes the issue in a very narrow manner. Doing so both hides its complex nature and also prevents our ability to connect it to other groups and other issues. In this course we explore a range of narratives surrounding undocumented status and migration with the aim of deepening our understanding of this powerful wedge issue and allowing us to fight its most pernicious and harmful effects.
