This course examines theories and methods for interdisciplinary study of race and ethnicity. We will examine, understand, and critique how race and ethnicity are studied across disciplines (e.g., sociology, psychology, literature, theater), in order to both deepen and broaden our own theoretical and methodological toolkits. An emphasis will be placed on integrating theories and methods across disciplines. The class will focus heavily on student discussion and presentations, as well as interdisciplinary collaboration.
