Continuation of VIETLANG VIETLANG 21. This second course in a three-quarter sequence continues to integrate language and culture, with an emphasis on expanding proficiency in oral and written discourse. Targeted functional abilities include presentational and socio-culturally appropriate language in formal and informal contexts. The service-learning component builds on prior experience by encouraging students to engage more actively in meaningful interactions with the local Vietnamese-speaking community, applying expanding language skills through community visits and guest speakers. Prerequisite: VIETLANG VIETLANG 21 or by placement test. This course is certified as a Cardinal Course by the Haas Center.
