This course is for students who have a basic understanding and practice of yoga asanas (poses). Students will learn to control their breath to smoothly 'flow' through a series of poses with inner awareness of postural alignment. This course will utilize class instruction, assignments, and student participation to enable students to: (1) Acquire knowledge of the basic health-related components of physical fitness and the different dimensions of wellness. (2) Develop the skill-related components of fitness, and (3) Gain knowledge to make intelligent choices that contribute to a healthy, active lifestyle.
