Learn about the essential concepts related to physical fitness and exercise (i.e. biomechanics, exercise nutrition, setting SMART goals, injury prevention, stress management, cardiovascular health, lower back care, and principles of resistance training). Students will apply these concepts in class by engaging in a variety of physical activities related to health and skill-related components of physical fitness such as cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, coordination, and balance.
