BIO 86X is a 1-unit companion to BIO 86 focused on strengthening problem-solving, critical thinking, and data interpretation skills in cell biology. Through hands-on, visual, and application-based activities, students will reinforce and extend concepts from lecture while building a deeper, more integrated understanding of cellular processes. Emphasis is placed on applying genetic, biochemical, and molecular approaches to address fundamental questions in cell biology. The course is designed to support skill development within BIO 86 and should be taken alongside it.
