BIO 82X is a 1-unit companion to BIO 82 focused on strengthening problem-solving, critical thinking, and data interpretation skills in genetics. Through hands-on, visual, and application-based activities, students will reinforce and extend concepts from lecture while building a deeper, more integrated understanding of genetic principles. Emphasis is placed on analytical problem solving, including inheritance patterns, quantitative reasoning, and interpretation of genetic data. The course is designed to support skill development within BIO 82 and should be taken alongside it.
