The PAs in Health Care I course provides an introduction to the profession. An interdisciplinary faculty will provide lectures and lead conversations on various aspects of health care, including such topics as: the history of the PA profession, professional organizations, graduate student study techniques, and topics related to PA leadership and clinician burnout. The course provides a foundation to the understanding of health disparities and social determinants of health. The course also covers the leadership tracks and thesis requirements for graduation.This course is offered to students enrolled in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program only.
