This course is intended to help Urban Studies students in their junior year (or earlier!) explore the field of urban studies and choose a potential topic and research question for a capstone project or honors thesis. This course is not a required pre-requisite for Urban Studies URBANST 202A (Preparation for Senior Research), and it is not a substitute for that class. But if you are planning to take Urban Studies URBANST 202A in the winter, this course will be useful in preparing you and is intended to make your work there more focused and productive.
