Sustainability transitions represent shifts within existing systems, whereas transformations involve fundamental changes in structures, paradigms, and relationships. It's increasingly clear that meaningful sustainability outcomes require system transformation at scale. In this directed study, students work with SUST instructors to explore system innovation and transformation at scale through theoretical and empirical scholarship, supported by applied case studies.
