This course answers the question: 'What is education's digital future?' Then students start building solutions. It invites students to rethink how AI will impact the future of education. It brings together technical challenges such as: how can we build an AI system to understand students as they learn, and social ones: what sort of learning experiences do we want for future students? In 2026 (and beyond), AI algorithms will impact learning around the world, and as such is a great conversation to have while abroad. This course covers cutting-edge education algorithms used to model students, assess learning, and design widely deployable tools for open access education.
