Expectations include active involvement in clinical assessments, case discussions, and completion of assigned readings. Opportunities include multidisciplinary stroke team rounds, outpatient or inpatient consultation, potential EEG/EMG observation, and mentorship from experienced neurologists. Opportunities for research or quality improvement involvement may be available based on student interest and faculty availability. Flexible scheduling with optional weekend rounds is offered. This clerkship is ideal for students pursuing neurology and seeking advanced skills in neurologic assessment and management. This is NOT the Adult or Child Neurology Sub-Internship and is not intended for the purpose of applying to the Stanford Neurology Residency. Students who are planning to apply to the Stanford Neurology Residency and are seeking a visiting sub-internship or participation in the SCORE program should be directed to NENS 307A for the Child Neurology Residency or NENS 308A for the Adult Neurology Residency.
