An introduction to the use of machine learning in mathematics, covering both (i) a high-level mathematical description of the theory behind these uses, and (ii) the use of machine learning as an experimental tool for exploring mathematical questions, as well as generating and testing conjectures. The course will cover both the mathematics and the machine-learning aspects of the recent literature.
