Students will be handling caseloads of misdemeanor and felony cases at the Santa Clara Superior Court in San Jose, requiring both oral advocacy and written court filings; will be taking part in three class visits to correctional institutions; and will be offering guidance and feedback to first-time clinic students. Special Instructions: Completion of the Criminal Prosecution Clinic is a prerequisite for this advanced clinic. Advanced students may arrange with the instructor to receive between two and seven units. No student may receive more than LAW 27 overall clinical units, however, during the course of the student's law school career. Elements used in grading: Participation and quality of case preparation and oral and written advocacy.
