The course will introduce students to economic statecraft, or the use of economic power to pursue geopolitical objectives. Course readings and discussion will focus in particular on economic statecraft in the context of great power competition relating to technonologies such as artificial intelligence, semiconductors, quantum computing, and cybersecurity.
