The class surveys the figure of iconic revolutionary Dolores Ibarruri (Pasionaria); the Moscow experience of poet Rafael Alberti; the fate of the "ninos de la Guerra" (children of Republican parents who were exiled to the USSR during the Spanish Civil war); the masterworks of Soviet cinema set in Mexico (Eisenstein's "Viva Mexico") and Cuba (Kalatozov's "Yo soy Cuba"), among others.
