Required core course restricted to second-year E-IPER PhD students. This seminar-style course has two primary foci: (1) Facilitating students' preparations for their qualifying exams, including space to workshop their Fields of Inquiry Essays and at least one other substantial writing goal of their choosing with peer and instructor support; and (2) more broadly exploring tools for developing and maintaining healthy and productive writing habits throughout the PhD and beyond. By the end of the course, students are expected to have made substantial progress on their qualifying proposals. Open to second-year E-IPER students only.
