This course introduces a systematic approach to automating data science workflows through agentic AI systems. Students will progress from using AI as a co-pilot for traditional data analysis to building fully autonomous agents capable of executing complex analytical pipelines. Students will be introduced to the data science workflow, strategies for constructing successful prompts to implement it in existing AI tools, and then how to automate the workflow building agents using the agentic AI design pattern. The curriculum bridges foundational data science methodologies with cutting-edge agent design patterns, emphasizing applications in energy and transportation systems.
