This project-based course gives you a hands-on learning experience of what it's like to build an AI company that makes doctors faster, patients happier, and healthcare outcomes better. Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming healthcare, unlocking new possibilities in diagnostics, personalized medicine, and patient care. This course explores cutting-edge AI models and techniques designed to address real-world healthcare challenges, empowering participants to develop innovative solutions for clinical teams. Using a human-centered design approach, students will develop a product by identifying user needs, prototyping, and iterating. Class projects will center on deploying AI solutions, leveraging real-world datasets and training models in collaboration with partners at Stanford Medicine. Key topics include AI-driven diagnostics, predictive analytics for patient outcomes, and intelligent workflow optimization. Through hands-on exercises, clinical mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration, participants will shape the future of healthcare. Guest speaker's featuring product managers and engineers from Google and Meta, successful healthcare entrepreneurs, and leading venture capitalists will share insights on innovation and investment in the healthcare AI ecosystem.
