This mini-course explores the frontiers of biological sciences through the lens of personal stories and experiences, with the goal of forging meaningful intellectual connections among students and between students and faculty in the community. This course consists of a series of seminars and fireside chats featuring Stanford faculty members across departments in Biosciences and related fields. Seminars will highlight both the scientific work and personal journeys of Stanford scientists, followed by fireside chats discussing topics surrounding life and career as an academic and how academia works as an institution.
