In this mini-course, you will explore microfluidics, the science of manipulating fluids at the microscale. We will discuss diverse biomedical applications and introduce key micro-fabrication techniques. The course will then focus on Organ-on-a-Chip (OoC) technology, a cutting-edge application of microfluidics, highlighting how these models are used for drug screening, disease modeling, and advancing biomedical research. The mini-course also features two hands-on laboratory sessions, where you will fabricate microfluidic chips and engage with experimental demonstrations of organ-on-a-chip systems, gaining practical experience with this innovative technology.
